There are lots of poker rooms which are offering freerolls.
Freerolls are fun to play but you should note that you can make a good profit using
freerolls as well. Most of poker players play freeroll tournaments only based
on chance. You can see players going all in even with 72 preflop! That’s why
with a bit of knowledge and playing logically you will have a good chance to
win freeroll tournaments.
It is important to know that winning all the tournaments is
impossible. Even if you are THE BEST POKER player ever, you may lose to an amateur
player who has just learned how to play.
Another important thing that you should consider is the
difference between freerolls and buy-in tournaments. At freerolls usually you
will get lots of calls. That means, if preflop you go all in with AA or 83 ,
for sure you will get several calls so it’s better to go all in with the hands
that you have better chance to win. It’s not a good idea to go all in with a
low hand and having hopes that others will run away and you will easily collect
the SB and BB :)!
To win a freeroll, divide the whole game to 3 stages. The first
stage is when the game starts. Here the SB and BB are the lowest so you can
play more hands. Try to win couple of pots. There is no need to win all pots.
After couple of levels, you will be playing more serious players. This is the
time when you can start bluffing. But don’t overdo it.
And the final stage will be the final table. At this stage
everyone is trying to finish the tournament in 1st place. The
players will play more aggressive. In this stage a small mistake is enough to
finish the tournament without winning any prizes. Here experiment is the key,
you should wait for the right cards and play them in the best possible way.
